World Green Building Week 2026
Build It Ready
7–11 September 2026
Together, let’s build the world’s largest World Green Building Week programme – again.
Ireland Leads the Way
Last year, the Irish Green Building Council, together with its members and partners, delivered the largest World Green Building Week programme of any Green Building Council globally.
Across five days, organisations from across Ireland opened their doors to showcase pioneering projects, hosted technical webinars, facilitated thought-provoking panel discussions, shared practical case studies, and inspired hundreds of professionals working across the built environment.
This incredible achievement was only possible because of the enthusiasm, expertise and generosity of our members.
To everyone who hosted an event, shared their knowledge, collaborated with us, or attended—thank you.
Now, we’re building on that momentum.
World Green Building Week 2026
This year’s global campaign, Build It Ready, explores how better buildings help businesses and communities prepare for tomorrow’s environmental, social, regulatory and commercial challenges.
Buildings are no longer simply places where we live and work – they are essential to creating healthier communities, reducing emissions, improving resilience and unlocking economic opportunity.
Throughout the week, the Irish Green Building Council and our members will showcase the projects, innovations and people helping shape a more sustainable built environment.
This Year’s Themes
🟢 Build Resilient
Showcase projects that strengthen climate resilience, improve adaptation, reduce risk and help communities prepare for future challenges.
⚡ Build Efficient

🚀 Build for Opportunity
Demonstrate how sustainable buildings create value through innovation, investment, skills, wellbeing and economic growth.
