2026 Mid-Year EPD Update
EPD Ireland Continues to Expand Environmental Transparency Across Construction Products
The first half of 2026 has been another significant period for EPD Ireland, with a wide range of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) published across construction product categories.
From façade systems and windows to drainage products, waterproofing membranes and road surfacing materials, manufacturers continue to recognise the importance of independently verified environmental data in supporting more informed and sustainable building decisions.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide transparent, standardised information about the environmental impacts of products throughout their life cycle. As demand for reliable product data continues to grow – driven by sustainability requirements, green building certifications and evolving regulations – EPDs are becoming an increasingly important part of the construction industry.
Supporting Better Decisions
As the construction sector continues its transition towards lower-carbon buildings and infrastructure, access to robust environmental product data has never been more important.
EPDs give manufacturers clear insight into the carbon footprint of their products while helping architects, engineers, contractors, clients and sustainability professionals compare products using verified environmental information, supporting informed specification and enabling whole-life carbon assessments.
Thank You to Our Programme Participants
We would like to thank all the organisations that have chosen to publish Environmental Product Declarations through EPD Ireland during the first half of 2026.
Their commitment to transparency demonstrates the growing momentum across the construction sector to make credible environmental information readily available.
We also acknowledge the work of EcoReview, who supported the development of these EPDs, and ECO Platform, where the declarations are also available in digital format, helping improve accessibility across European markets.
As we move into the second half of 2026, we look forward to welcoming more manufacturers to the programme and continuing to strengthen the availability of high-quality environmental data for the Irish construction industry.
