Please be advised that a new membership fee structure will come into effect from 1st January 2026. This is the first fee adjustment since IGBC was founded, in 2011. This will help us keep pace with inflation and continue delivering high-quality programmes for our members.
The good news is that members are now getting even more for your membership, including:
- Our online education IGBC 101 series are now included for all members, meaning that you can get your staff up to speed on a key range of sustainability topics.
- An expanded number of members-only events, including opportunities for networking throughout the year with more events beyond Dublin.
- In 2024, we greatly expanded our free learning opportunities with over 40 learning events ranging from site visits, online lunch and learn webinars, Communities of Practice on a range of topics, engaging 1,000s participants across these programmes.
Your membership also supports us in carrying out advocacy, delivering roadmaps, practical guidance documents and tools. In 2025, these included Building Life Industry report, the Home User Guide, Vacant to Vibrant recommendations, and our Circularity Roadmap, all aimed at accelerating Ireland’s transition to a sustainable built environment.
This will expand in 2026 with the launch of at least 15 key enabling assets to accelerate action across a range of topics including decarbonisation, circularity and biodiversity. These include a roadmap for contractors to decarbonise construction sites, an entry level Green finance certification for smaller home developments, Whole life carbon benchmarks, reports and recommendations on removing regulatory roadblocks to decarbonisation in construction and much more.
Your membership of IGBC has also provided you with membership of Construct Innovate, enabling you to access specific research to increase your innovation.
As part of the changes, we are also introducing two new membership categories – Student and Job Seeker/Pensioner – to make IGBC more accessible and to better support those at different stages of their careers.
We hope you will agree that these expanded benefits and our growing impact justify this long-overdue adjustment. If you have any questions or would like to discuss the changes in more detail, we would be very happy to speak with you.
For Silver members and above, we will also provide year-end recaps, enabling you to highlight the benefits of your organisation’s engagement with IGBC.
Thank you again for your commitment to advancing a greener, healthier built environment, and we look forward to working with you in 2026.
