We’re searching for a motivated professional with a background in construction, architecture, engineering, or energy management, who is passionate about sustainability and quality assurance in the built environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery and scaling of certification systems that are shaping the future of housing in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess evidence on projects for compliance with Home Performance Index requirements
- Develop templates and resources for users (e.g., Home User Manuals)
- Support the development of systems and platforms for certification to enable faster scaling
- Liaise with assessors, responding to queries and providing technical support
- Assist in training and upskilling assessors
- Contribute to quality assurance processes across IGBC programmes
- Collaborate on projects related to planning assessment tools, certification schemes, and green finance
Qualifications & Experience
- Third-level degree in architecture, engineering, energy management, or construction (preferred)
- Experience or knowledge of building certification, building regulations (BC(A)R), and sustainability indicators
- Strong project management, organisational, and time management skills
- Good practical understanding of construction processes
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of energy management, BER, thermal bridging
- Familiarity with certification schemes like LEED, BREEAM, WELL
- Understanding of quality assurance standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17029, ISO 17065)
